About

Skab is a dark fantasy adventure story drawn and written by me, Jon Berg. I'm an illustrator and comic artist living and working out of Mount Albert Ontario, Canada. I contributed art to the graphic novel Girl on Film. I've also done short stories for Raid Press, To Comix, as well as other independent projects. I've been creating Skab for the last few years and am serializing it here online and in print as chapters are completed.

The Story

A decade after a war shattered the kingdom, the land remains scarred by the rise of the skab—towering beasts of stone born from falling shards of corrupted magic. The sorcerer who caused the devastation vanished, but his memory continues to divide what remains of the kingdom.

As a child, Kay watched his home be destroyed by skab, losing his mother and becoming separated from his sister in the chaos that followed. Now sixteen, he has not forgotten what took his family from him. He searches to understand what has happened to their world and a way to fight his way back to her.
